At last! The someday-we'll-go-fishing curse is officially undone.
Trip 1: Ivins Reservoir
Here's what I 'caught!' Lake/pondweed...awesome.
Craig, a student my dad has worked with the last couple of years, was the only one of us four who caught a fish...which unfortunately got off the line. Lucky fish, I guess.
Here's my spiffy new rod and reel.
The view/scenery was pretty darn nice.
Ha ha...these photos got out of order...
Duck! I mean--ducks!
I haven't seen ducks for ages. I got a big kick out of these web-footed fowls.
Dad's taking a heroic stance to intimidate the fish.
Of COURSE all the shade aka trees/brush was on the complete opposite side from where we were.
I still think it's crazy 'this' was so close by.
Here's the dock we fished off of later on...to no avail.

Maybe I know absolutely nothing of photo-taking, but I really liked how this picture had a hazy-esque quality.
Trip 2: Enterprise Reservoir
I have a great fascination in/for deer. I think they're just gorgeous creatures. Naturally, when I saw deer, I was pretty pysched-to-the-max. I wish I could've/would've zoomed in more, but it still turned out alright.
Here's another one literally heading for the hills.
I really think this picture looks much better on a larger scale. facebook should remedy this, I pray.
Geeked out here. Deer had tromped right where I was!
This is the first spot we tried. Good almighty NIGHT. The darn weeds/sticks caused many a snag for us.
It was fairly muddy. Especially the closer to the water. Go figure...
This place had a pretty nice view too.
As Yoda would say, "Greatly do I enjoy when light reflects off a large body of water."
Thankfully, Dad and I decided to try a much better location for fishing. The rock is smartly-titled Honeycomb Rock. It think it's quite neato.
I'm digging this orange color here.

Surely no one will ever tire of my puns.
Dad's just relaxing while we wait for the dang fish to bite.
At last! After receiving wonderous instructions and hands-on assistance for an older gentleman and his wife, we start catching fish--after spending the whole day with no success. This is the best pic I could muster of the rainbow trout Dad hooked.

Man, the view in this other location was fabulous.
This may be my new favorite photo for the time being. The colors and stillness of the water make me think this is taken in a tropical location or something.
Here's a far-off shot of Dad and the two life-savers.

I thought the foam was cool.

Mary Anne, What a fun day, from early rise to munching down Marv's burgers and fries! We have to do this again, soon!!
I'm so glad you finally got to go fishing!! The trout tasted wonderful.
What gorgeous pictures! Looks like fun! I still to this day have never caught a fish. And somehow, I never tire of trying.
